Adam graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2014, where he was an articles editor for the Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems. Following graduation, Adam hung up his shingle in Washington, Iowa and practiced as a sole practitioner in Washington and Iowa City until joining Carlson Law, PLC in July 2020. 

Adam has a wide range of practice experience. In addition to doing tax preparation and estate planning, Adam has experience representing clients in criminal, probate, and domestic relations matters.

Jonathan Carlson is an honors graduate of the University of Chicago Law School where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. He began his legal career as law clerk to Judge Alvin B. Rubin of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He practiced law at Patton, Boggs & Blow, Washington, D.C., before moving to Iowa in 1983. He has taught at the University of Iowa College of Law for more than 30 years and has been a member of the Iowa bar since 1998.
